Abstract

ABSTRACT Wulan Purnamasari, Analysis of Quality Control of Bag Products Using Six Sigma DMAIC in the Bag Industry in Garut Region, 2020 This bag industry is a home industry which was founded by a solitary oneng komariah residing in cikaso kulon, rancasalak village, kadungora district, garut regency. In this bag industry, there are often problems, namely the presence of defective products that occur, namely torn stitches, loose labels, moldy/dirty and resletting dolls, these defects cause losses that cause the quality of the bag to decrease. The formulation of the research problem is what causes defects in the bag industry and how to overcome or overcome defects in the products produced by the bag industry. the purpose of this research problem is to find out the causes of disability in the bag industry and provide improvements to overcome or overcome defects in the products produced by the bag industry. Based on the analysis of data processing using the six sigma DMAIC method that is at the stage of defining using pareto diagrams, it can be seen that the most dominant defect is in 69% of the stitches with disabilities in 2018 while for 2019 the defects occur in the 73% stitches in stitches. using a fisbone diagram due to kecactan that occurs in the bag industry is caused by human factors, namely poor performance, method factors, there is no SOP, material factors namely the thread used is not good and environmental factors namely raw materials become dirty and moist. SIPOC is to find out how the business process flow in the bag industry. The second stage of measure using the P Control Map in 2018 and 2019 shows that it does not exceed the control limits which indicate that bag quality control is still good and for the control limits, CQT in the bag industry consists of 4 types of disability and DPMO on these six sigma in 2018 and 2019 process capability is still low. In the third stage, this analyze only explains the causes of disability by using 5W + 1H. In the fourth stage improve, namely the repair phase that causes disability by using 5W + 1H, the fifth stage of control, namely controlling the production process in the bag industry must make improvements in order to improve good employee performance and quality in the bag industry to be more desirable by customers.
