Abstract
ABSTRAK PT. XYZ merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang transporting, warehousing, freight forwarding and custom clearence. Dalam satu tahun terakhir, setiap bulan perusahaan selalu mengalami kehilangan order dari PT. ABC. Tingginya tingkat permintaan tidak diimbangi dengan ketersediaan jumlah armada yang memadai sehingga timbullah loss order. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tambahan jumlah truck yang diperlukan untuk memenuhi semua order dan alternatif manakah yang lebih layak dilakukan oleh PT. XYZ antara membeli truck baru atau menyewa pada pihak ketiga. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode peramalan, dan capital budgeting. Dari hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan, diketahui bahwa tambahan jumlah truck trailer highbed 40 feet yang diperlukan untuk memenuhi semua order dari PT. ABC selama dua tahun adalah 5 unit trailer dan alternatif membeli truk trailer baru merupakan alternative terbaik dengan nilai Present Value (PV) sebesar Rp 8.744.585.613, lebih kecil nilainya disbanding nilai Present Value (PV) dari menyewa yaitu sebesar Rp 10.508.148.000. XYZ is a company engaged in the field of transporting, warehousing, freight forwarding and custom clearence. In the past year, every month the company always experienced a loss of orders from PT. A B C. The high level of demand is not matched by the availability of an adequate number of fleets so that loss orders arise. This study aims to determine the additional number of trucks needed to fulfill all orders and alternatives which are more feasible for PT. XYZ between buying a new truck or renting it to a third party. The method used is the forecasting method, and capital budgeting. From the results of research conducted, it is known that the additional number of 40 feet highbed trailer trucks is needed to fulfill all orders from PT. ABC for two years is 5 units of trailers and an alternative to buying a new trailer truck is the best alternative with a Present Value (PV) value of Rp 8,744,585,613, less than the Present Value (PV) value of renting from Rp 10,508,148,000.
