Abstract
ABSTRACT Epta Rizka Azzahrah., Optimization of System Distribustion of Goods at Mail Processing Centre (MPC) 40400 Bandung, Bandung, Transportation Management,. 2018. Currently in the distribution of goods from Mail Processing Centre Bandung to Branch Office/delivery center (DC) in the area of Bandung has not used the route determination system, where current distribution route always use the route and the same number of vehicles each day. While the number of goods to be delivered are different or fluctuating every day and to the pathway that bypassed currently only uses intuition/driver habits. This research has a goal: to plan and design the optimal routes for sending goods from Mail Processing Centre to Delivery Centre in the area of Bandung city, knowing the operating costs in the delivery of the goods, and knowing if the current distribution system optimally or not optimal. The troubleshooting methods that are used are the Nearest Insertion Heuristic on the problem of The Vehicle Routing Problem with Time Windows (VRPTW). The research results obtained 6 route for Monday, that the first route: MPC, A, B, E, MPC and costs of distribution Rp359.600,- ; second route MPC, G, D, F, MPC and costs of distribution Rp385.905,- ; the third route MPC, C, I, L, MPC with the cost of distribution Rp575.855,- ; the fourth route MPC, H, J, MPC with the cost of distribution Rp572.475,- ; the fifth route MPC, M, MPC with the cost of distribution Rp440.270,- ; the sixth route MPC, K, MPC with the cost of distribution Rp517.455,-. So the total cost of distributing on Monday amounted to Rp2.851.560,-. While for the day Tuesday retrieved 9 routes, namely the first route: MPC, A, I, MPC with the distribution costs Rp444.095,- ; second route MPC, E, MPC with the cost of distribution Rp256.765,- ; the third route MPC, E, F, MPC with the cost of distribution Rp280.450,- ; the fourth route MPC, B, G, MPC with the cost of distribution Rp349.120,- the fifth route; MPC, D, H, MPC with the cost of distribution Rp412.000,- ; the sixth route MPC, C, K, MPC with the cost of distribution Rp541.035,- ; the seventh route MPC, J, M, MPC with the cost of distribution Rp520.180,- ; eighth route MPC, L, MPC with the cost of distribution Rp465.815,- ; the ninth route MPC, I, MPC with the cost of distribution Rp53.920,- . So the total cost of distributing on Tuesday amounted to Rp 3.723.380,-. In this case, for a total cost of distribution routes and on the following days also differ on a daily basis taking into account the capacity of the transport vehicles and the deadline for delivery of the goods.
