Abstract

ABSTRAK Indonesia adalah sebuah negara dengan jumlah luas lautan yang lebih besar dibandingkan dengan jumlah daratannya dengan dua musim yang terjadi sepanjang tahun yaitu musim hujan dan kemarau. Hal ini menjadikan Indonesia kaya akan sumber daya alam terutama air. Air merupakan sumber daya yang yang mana keberadaannya sangat diperlukan oleh makhluk hidup. Sifat air yang dapat terbarukan dan dinamis menjadikan Indonesia memiliki system tertentu dalam mengalirkan air-air bersih untuk penduduknya. Namun pada tahun 2020, sebagian besar negara di dunia menghadapi sebuah pandemik yang mengharuskan manusia untuk senantiasa menjaga diri, salah satunya adalah menjaga kebersihan (terutama mencuci tangan). Mengingat Indonesia memiliki jumlah penduduk yang tinggi, maka kebutuhan masyarakat terhadap air bersih juga tidak sedikit. Kondisi pandemik dan pertumbuhan penduduk pun menjadi faktor meningkatnya kebutuhan air bersih di setiap kota di Indonesia, salah satunya adalah kota Bandung. PDAM kota Bandung adalah pihak yang diberi wewenang untuk menyuplai kebutuhan air untuk wilayah setempat, termasuk kecamatan Gedebage. IPA Badak Singa selaku tempat di mana PDAM kota Bandung memproduksi air tidak hanya menyalurkan air bersihnya ke kecamatan Gedebage. Hal tersebut kemudian menjadi sebuah kekhawatiran masyarakat yang takut kebutuhan air bersihnya tidak tercukupi. Untuk menjawab kekhawatiran tersebut maka penulis melakukan sebuah penghitungan untuk mengukur ketersedian air bersih 10 tahun mendatang dibandingkan dengan pertumbuhan penduduknya. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa kebutuhan air bersih bertambah setiap tahunnya seiring dengan pertumbuhan penduduk yang juga terus bertambah. Hasil analisis menyatakan bahwa kapasitas air PDAM kota Bandung belum mampu memenuhi kebutuhan air bersih untuk masyarakat di Kecamatan Gedebage. This makes Indonesia rich in natural resources, especially water. Water is a resource that is needed by living things on earth. The nature of water that is renewable and dynamic makes Indonesia have a certain sistem for delivering clean water to its people. But in 2020, most countries in the world are facing a pandemic that requires people to always take care of themselves, one of the important things is to maintain hygiene (especially washing hands). Considering that Indonesia has a high population, the community's need for clean water is also not small. Pandemic conditions and population growth are also factors in the increasing need for clean water in every city in Indonesia, one of them is Bandung city. PDAM Bandung city is an authority that can supply the water needs for the local area, including the Gedebage sub�district. IPA Badak Singa is a place where PDAM Bandung city produces clean water for every area that is included in their service that included the Gedebage sub�district. This then becomes a concern for people who are afraid that their needs for clean water are not fulfilled. To answer this concern, the authors conducted a calculation to measure the availability of clean water in the next 10 years compared to population growth. The results showed that the need for clean water increased each year which is in line with population growth that also increased each year. The results of the analysis show that the water capacity of PDAM Bandung city is not able to provide clean water for the Gedebage sub-district for 10 years. Keywords: clean water, PDAM, bandung city
